A six-week workshop focused on helping aspiring authors get started. Fiction or nonfiction, for adults or kids, I can point you in the right direction.
I believe that our nation, our world, is ready and looking for inspiration and truth. We may have left it to the pastors and TV preachers for too long. I believe it is time for us, yes, each of us, to raise our voice.
That may mean you look for a place to teach the Bible. Maybe a class in your church, kids, teens, or adults. Maybe you have a more intense calling. Maybe you are considering a career change to share the Word. Or if you are in retirement age, consider a short-term mission assignment.
But for me, it is writing! But this is not another of my commercials. LOL
Yes, for the last couple of years, I have discovered a new calling after 40-something years of full-time ministry. I have chosen to share biblical truths using fictional characters.
I believe some of my friends may not be ready to take to the pulpit or a trip to a mission overseas. But you have a message. Some of you have mentioned that book idea in the back of your mind. For some, it is your story, a testimony of God’s goodness in your life, a memoir. For others, it is a book of 30 devotions about special passages in their lives. Or maybe, like me, a fictional novel idea, sharing truth with fictional characters.
All of that to say two things:
I want to encourage all of you who have the itch to write. I have come to believe that more Christians should be engaged in writing to influence and change our world. It is easier than it has ever been.
I want to help. I AM NO EXPERT! But I have successfully written and published four, going on five novels. I can help you get started.
In January, I will be doing a live and in-person six-week workshop for aspiring Christian writers.
But first, I want to try it out. I need a few willing test subjects, maybe four or five of you.
It will be FREE. It will begin the week of October

What Readers Are Saying About The Shepherd's Secret:
5.0 out of 5 stars The Shepherd's Secret is a must-read!
Another great book by author David Morrow. This book kept me wanting to read on through the twists and turns of the life journey of two brothers. I couldn’t put it down!! This book is real; the story may have been in a distant time ago, but it is as relevant as today’s life lessons. With this book, it’s a great mixture of family trials, life experiences, and keeping God centered in the story and the need for a savior.
Can’t wait for the next book.
5.0 out of 5 stars Full of adventure.
This series is full of adventure, romance, drama, and even some comedy. Amos has been one of my favorites from the beginning. I’ve enjoyed his journey through real-life experiences. The author has beautifully incorporated truth from the Word into the lives of his characters. I can’t wait for the dramatic conclusion of this 3-book series.
5.0 out of 5 stars Christian fiction at its best.
The story continues … even better than book one! Great Christian fiction! Believability. Intrigue. Suspense. David has great imagination as a writer.
Left me anxious for book three!
Treasure — a blessing or a curse?
Amos, a young shepherd, stumbles upon an ancient treasure hidden in the Judean wilderness for centuries. He is sure his poor family's life is about to prosper. But unable to return to the hidden wealth again to show his older brother, his life is changed by years of searching. Amos isn’t the only one seeking this fabled wealth. The cunning Sark watches in the shadows, driven by greed and ambition.
As the allure of riches threatens to destroy everything Amos holds dear, alliances turn to betrayal, and family bonds are tested. Struggling with questions of trust, love, and vengeance, Amos faces a dark choice—will his heart succumb to bitterness and revenge, or can he rise above it?
Fans of The Chosen and lovers of biblical historical fiction will be captivated by The Lost Treasure of the Last King—a compelling blend of action, faith, and spiritual wisdom. This thrilling story of deception, redemption, and unexpected twists will leave readers pondering timeless truths and the true cost of seeking treasure.

What Readers Are Saying:
Who doesn't like a story about lost treasure? Mix in romance, villains, intrigue and families in this Biblical era who depend on God's provision through hard times as well as happy times and a cliffhanger to boot! Yes, I liked this book.
Can't wait to read the next chapter.
I am left dangling at the end of each chapter.
Captivating.
Ask the author.
How long have you been writing?
For many years. But for the fiction world, it has only been since January of 2024.
What's next?
I will finish the Prodigal Shepherd Series by spring 2026. I think I may return to expand The Lost Wise Man into a trilogy or maybe a new series based on a New Testament character with whom I really identify. I have outlined a four-book series and have written half of the first book.
Have you considered writing in other genres?
I think that every author feels the grass is greener in another genre. I am considering something in kid's fiction, but that would be years away. I love mysteries and am fascinated to consider writing a "Who done it?" But unless the right character and set pop into my mind. That may never happen.
Why are you drawn to Biblical Historical Fiction?
They say you write best what you love most. I love reading the Bible and consuming its truths. Blending those truths with fictional characters in a biblical setting is super fulfilling. When you laugh out loud at your characters or tears trickle down your cheek while you are alone with your story, you are either crazy or immersed. I guess you have to read more to decide which I am.
Blessings, David
